However, if you are looking for fun activities and attractions here in the Fort Myers Beach area, there’s no shortage of options to keep you busy and entertained.

Our hotel is within walking distance of the exciting Times Square area of Fort Myers Beach, with its fantastic shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Its name derives from the fact that it was once only reachable by boat, and favored by lovers because of its solitude.                                 J.N. "DING" DARLING NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE

                                Named for famed cartoonist Jay “Ding” Darling, a noted supporter of environmental causes and one-time head of the U.S. Biological Survey, this refuge was created 40 years ago in an effort to protect its extensive mangrove ecosystem. It stretches over 5,000 acres and is noteworthy for its migratory bird populations.
